So, what can you do to celebrate your baby turning one? Well, book in for a cake smash at my studio near Horsham? When you book in for a cake smash Horsham, you are guaranteed to not only choose the set-up you would like for your little one. You are more than welcome to personalise it by bringing in items. This makes the session truly unique to you. Little Henry is so loved by his Mummy and Daddy. This really shone through to me at their cake smash for his first birthday. His Mum wanted blues and white for his session, which was perfect for his colouring, so I kept things simple with balloons and bunting, but couldn’t resist featuring a little boat.
The session was made personal to Henry by his name, these were made in big wooden letters which Daddy had kindly painted to match in.
The birthday boy really enjoyed his cake smash, getting stuck right in with both his hands and the wooden spoon that I have on hand for children to use during the session. Henry was quite active and spent much time crawling around and off the backdrop we were using. I don’t mind all the mess and coming to a professional studio to have your child’s first birthday Cake Smash means that you don’t get to have any of the mess at home.
I always say to clients that your little ones come in clean and go home clean…..the same can’t be said for some parents however, who get stuck in a little more than planned and end up with cakey feet and trousers, so it is always a good idea to bring along a change of clothes for yourself as well!
I know Mum adores Henry’s gallery and I am sure has Henry grown he will look back on these pictures and wish he could spend every Birthday just like this. A cake all to yourself without having to share. What is not to love? Well, you do get to take the cake home so there is a little sharing as I am sure Mum and Dad and the rest of the family got to enjoy a slice or two with a cup of tea afterwards.
THE SPLASH
The best part about a cake smash is that it doesn’t end with just the cake. At the end of the session, your baby gets to enjoy some fun alongside a much-needed clean up. With bubbles galore and extra on the side little Henry had a whale of a time playing with and catching the bubbles.
Do I mind the watery mess in my studio in Horsham. Not at all for me it is all part of the experience, and you get to enjoy the session without having to worry about the mess. You can leave that all up to me.
