I have found that it is becoming more and more popular when people are looking for new baby portraits Sussex, that it is the new baby’s grandparents who get in contact. This session was one of those. Gifted by Betty’s grandmother, who had previously booked in for her new grandson, she couldn’t wait to book little Betty in when she arrived.
Baby Betty was a little overdue but, as I have mentioned before, this is never a problem. I purposely don’t over-book to allow room for movement in my diary. Beautiful Betty was an absolute dream for her newborn session and settled really well into so many poses. This enabled me to capture such varied gallery of images for Mum (and Gran, of course!). Little Betty’s Gran also came along to the Samphire studio for the session, and she was more than welcome to do so. I have room in my studio for 3-4 adults. However those that do come along need to be prepared with lightweight clothing. Newborn sessions are super warm to make sure that the babies are comfortable, as they are unable to regulate their body temperatures.
Just look at her pouting lips, simply gorgeous and I know that Mum has some fantastic images to cherish for ever xx

All of my clients who have a full newborn session are invited back to the Samphire studio for a complimentary sitter session. That way I get to see how ‘my’ babies have grown. Plus also this is probably one of my most favourite ages to photograph babies. At this stage babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves up onto all fours, bringing opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub. These sessions are fun, and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!
