Prep Guide

Thank you for booking a Boudoir photoshoot experience with me.

I know for some this may feel a little daunting, but don’t worry. I have put together this guide to help you prepare before you come in, so that you can get the most out of your session.

Looking forward to meeting you.

How It Works

not sure what to expect? HERE ARE 3 things to know

1. ahead of your session

Make sure to plan some outfits ahead of your photoshoot. That way, if you need to treat yourself and shop for something new you'll have plenty of time.

Book in any hair and beauty appointments if you want to give yourself an extra bit of pampering.

Try to avoid the sun ahead of your session to prevent any nasty sunburn or tan lines.

Don't start introducing any new products to your beauty regime, to avoid any possible reactions.

Keep hydrated as this will make your skin look radiant.

Try to avoid too much alcohol or salty foods as this will also help your skin look its best when you come in for your session.

Give yourself a full body scrub a few days before to make your skin look softer and healthier. And moisturise well.

Manicure your nails.

Try to avoid wearing any tight-fitting clothing to the studio as this will mark your skin.

You are welcome to bring along as many outfits as you like. At the beginning of the session we will work out which options will give you a good variety of images. Or, if you are feeling brave, you can always go topless if you wish.

If you have some, bring along a pair of heels and some hold-ups.

If you have any other accessories you would like to incorporate please feel free to bring these along.

I also have a selection of wraps, fabrics, hats and other accessories we can include, but above all these are your portraits.

2. Your wardrobe

3. lingerie - where to go

If you are looking to invest in some new lingerie, treating yourself to at least one new set is a great thing to do. If you're not sure where to start, these shop suggestions should help.

Approximately 1-2 weeks after your session you will be invited back to view your beautifully edited and enhanced gallery of at least 20 images at my studio and choose which products and packages you love the most.

Frequently Asked Questions.

What shalI bring to the session?

If you have taken the time to invest in the shoot, then you definitely need to invest in a little something special to wear. I have a list of retailers for all budgets in my prep guide to give you a helping hand as to where to start looking.

I generally advise bringing two or three sets of beautiful lingerie.

Just me, but if you are feeling a little nervous you are more than welcome to bring a friend along with you.

I don’t provide hair and make-up as standard, but please get in touch if you would like to add this onto your session fee.

As with all the portrait work I do, I never use images on any type of media without my client’s permission. If you are happy for me to do so, you just need to fill in an additional model release form. On the form, you can select where you are happy for the images to be used and well as list any exceptions you may have.
