Autumn is possibly my favourite time of the year – and not just because it’s my birthday! I love the crisp mornings, the rich colours of nature and the clean smell of the air. So I was delighted when Mum asked for a blue and orange Cake Smash with an Autumnal feel to it! I knew immediately how I wanted to style this session, to bring the outdoors inside. Certainly plenty of Autumnal leaves to give that fabulous splash of colour. Then some real wood logs and crates, and pumpkins galore. My local greengrocer always stocks the most wonderful fresh produce. They had an excellent selection of mixed squash, all sizes and shades, which worked perfectly. Mum had dressed birthday boy Reggie ideally to co-ordinate with the theme. And as always, the amazing Mrs B Bakes produced a scrumptious cake to enhance the theme further.

Reggie got stuck into his wonderful cake. Big sister Elsie gave him a little extra help. Similarly, she was also stylishly co-ordinated to join in with the celebrations. As a result, so we were also able to capture some super sibling images. After the messy cakey fun it was bathtime. So that even though my studio may have been covered in cake debris, the birthday boy went home all clean. Such a lovely boy, we had a really fun day. And that is easy to see in the images of the session. Super happy memories captured for Mum & Dad to treasure, of their gorgeous boy as he was turning one.
