Are you looking for the best cake smash photographer? My clients have certainly found it. Well, in my area at least ????! All my cake smashes are bespoke, designed with my clients requirements in mind. So when Edith’s parents booked in for a cake smash session for her first birthday, I sent them my Pinterest inspiration link. They really liked the lemons but Mum wanted a softer flower than I had previously used and requested white hydrangeas. Not a problem. Depending on the time of year, I can’t always source fresh flowers so sometimes I use fake flowers. These are generally in the set up behind the cake, and by using a small aperture on my camera it means that the background is in soft focus, so you can’t tell! The added bonus is that there is no waste and they can be used again.
The Session
I love this lemon set up so much. It’s possibly one of my favourites. The lemon romper suits I have available for clients to use during the session match it perfectly. Teamed up with a matching headband it helps bring the whole set up together. Edith loved her session. Every single part of it. The pre-smash, the smash itself, as well as her clean up bath afterwards. Although she was as fond of eating the lemons as she was getting stuck into the cake!

After the Session
I always guarantee 20 images for all my clients, which get edited and put into an online viewing gallery but there are always soooo many more great images from a cake smash session. Most parents end up viewing 40-50 images! The best thing about this is that if you purchase the whole gallery you get all the images, whether there are 20 or 60, at the same cost!
