Oh how I love this set up request from Mum and Dad for young Kai’s first birthday cake smash photoshoot. Mum had asked for a colour scheme of mint, pale blue, grey and silver and these colours complemented each other so well. I worked closely with Mum and Dad so that when they came in to see me in the Samphire studio with his special outfit and his name on his very own bunting it fitted in perfectly with the balloons, pom-poms and bunting I had made for the session. Not to mention the ONE letters and cake stand I sprayed silver just for him.
His outfit was fab, I adore flat caps on boys and his personalised vest made it that extra bit special for him. He even kept his crown on for most of the images. Definitely a little king for the day.
Kai was such a happy little boy and it really shows in his portraits, from the pre-smash images, the smash itself and the splash session at the end. His big brother Dante also managed to sneak some cake and get involved in a few images so Mum and Dad had some special images of them both together to remember his first birthday.
