Newborn Baby Photographs Sussex | Baby Edith, 18 days old

Will you look at this adorable little poppet?  Darling little Edith was an absolute pleasure to pose and photograph when she came to visit me in the Samphire studio for her newborn portraits at the tender age of just 18 days old.  I chose a mix of soft creamy yellow and pale mint (one of my favourite colourways for both boys and girls) and they were perfect for this beautiful lady, who looked equally scrumptious in both bonnet and headbands.  Swaddled and snug or simply snoozing in her perfect newborn skin, there just wasn’t a bad way to photograph this beauty.

It was such a happy day and Edith made it so easy for me to capture plenty of images for Mum & Dad to treasure of their beautiful baby girl.

We take our time with newborn sessions to ensure that mother (and father) and baby are relaxed and enjoy the experience. Newborn sessions can last up to four hours to give plenty of time for settling your baby, top-up feeds, nappy changes, cuddles. I am also more than happy to take pictures with the parents as well. We encourage parents to get involved, and before your session we advise you on what to expect and what you need to bring with you on the day.  If you would like some more information with regards to newborn studio portraits then check out my newborn photography page which gives you a great insight into how the sessions run.

Here are a few more of my favourite images from Edith’s newborn session with Samphire Photography xx

All my newborn clients are invited back to the Samphire studio for a complimentary sitter session.  That way I get to see how ‘my’ babies have grown plus also this is probably one of my most favourite ages to photograph babies at. At this stage babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves up onto all fours, bringing opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub. These sessions are fun, and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!
